Abstract

We will discuss several topics in complex analysis and complex dynamics. We will give particular attention to hyperbolic components of the Mandelbrot set, conformal isomorphisms, and finite Blaschke products on the unit disk. On September 17, Holly Krieger will present applications of the material covered in this talk to current research. This talk is intended to be accessible to graduate students of all levels; no technical knowledge of complex analysis or complex dynamics is expected.
