Abstract
Although the history of these dichotomies spans decades, recent work by Baldwin, Larson, Hyttinen, Kolesnikov, Koerwien, Friedman, Grossberg, VanDieren and myself(among others) has brought back some new ideas and techniques. I plan to provide a description of one of the lines this research has taken - in particular, in connection with various forms of the generalized Martin's Axiom.
