Abstract

Fields are associated with different kinds of operators, giving them the structure of difference fields, differential fields and/or D-fields. Model theorists are interested in studying the theories of such structures and axiomatizing them. Some of these results can be generalized to fields with more than one operator. Similar idea can be extended to valued fields as well, and one can study valued fields with operators. In this talk, I am going to give a small survey of nice model complete theories of fields with different kinds of operators, leading up to valued fields and my own work on valued difference fields.
