Abstract
Perfect difference ideals are algebraic objects that correspond to solutions of systems of algebraic difference equations generalizing the algebraic-geometric correspondence between solutions and radical ideals. Difference elimination allows to reveal important information about the ideal and the system, for example, its consistency. Currently, there are some algorithms that do so only for ordinary difference equations. We will be discussing those and will look at the structure of perfect difference ideals.

the seminar will end early, shortly before 5pm, because of the LAS Meeting of the Minds. the seminar begins with tea.
