Abstract
This is a graduate student colloquium on some topics in probability, as a tribute to an extraodinary mathematician, widely considered as the most influential probabilist, Oded Schramm. Oded has tragically died in a climbing accident on Labor Day. In the talk I will (briefly) discuss some topics in random processes in the plane, such as random walks and Brownian motion, percolation, loop erased random walks, and hope to indicate Oded's contribution to proving important conjectures in this field via so called Schramm-Lowner Evolution.
