Abstract

Valery Alexeev asked whether it is possible to generalize the definitions of singularities of pairs in a wider context than the usual one. In this talk I will address this question, discussing how this can be done in such a way that most of the essential features of the theory are preserved. This is joint work with Christopher Hacon.
