Abstract

Classical, Riemannian, expanding conformal dynamical systems on the Riemann sphere include convex cocompact Kleinian groups and hyperbolic rational maps. These systems have lots of generalizations in lots of different directions. I'll discuss some of them and, along the way, point out connections to dynamics, algebra, coarse geometry, and analysis on metric spaces.
