Abstract
In ordinary decimal arithmetic one has a finite string of digits followed by a decimal point followed by a possibly infinite string of digits. What happens if we reverse this? An infinite string of digits going off to the left followed by a decimal point followed by a finite string of digits. .......66666667 x 3 = 1
