- Abstract
- Modern methods for imaging the human brain, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI)present a range of challenging statistical problems. In this talk, we will look at a number of possible models for the analysis of fMRI data from multiple subjects, and develop tests that lead to calculations of power and sample size for between group comparisons. Sample size calculations are particularly critical for neuroscientists who use these new techniques, since each subject is expensive to image.
There will be a Tea around 3:15pm.
