Abstract

This presentation will be an overview of the role of statistics and statisticians in the drug development process. I will present an overview of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development process, and the clinical research organizations. That will be followed by the challenges for statisticians in the industry. The current statistical issues of interest and some examples will also be provided.
