Abstract
We will have a research seminar this semester on NSOP_n theories for n > 1, assuming no theorems on the identity of NSOP_1 and also not assuming that n is an integer. Graduate students are particularly encouraged to attend. We finish discussing a sketch of the proof that Conant-independence is symmetric in NSOP_2 theories. Then, we discuss the result that n = 4 is the smallest integer n such that symmetry of Conant-independence implies that a theory is NSOP_n.
