Abstract
We will have a research seminar this semester on forking, broadly construed, particularly in the setting of unstable first-order theories. Graduate students are particularly encouraged to attend. We will discuss examples of, and connections between, the definable Morley property and finite F_Mb, concentrating particularly on the case of the generic projective planes of Conant and Kruckman. We initially motivated these properties using the simple Kim-forking conjecture, and if there is enough time, we will begin discussing these properties' connection with pseudolinearity, which offers another motivation.
