Abstract

I will present joint work with Tony Yue Yu, which introduces a new type of curve counting invariants, which count, in a naive way, curves in a smooth projective variety that pass through prescribed subvarieties with tangencies. Examples of enumerative and non-enumerative invariants, and a connection to mirror symmetry will be provided.
