- Abstract
- Intersection theory on varieties is done in the Chow ring, the ring of classes of rationally equivalent algebraic cycles graded by codimension, where multiplication is given by intersection of cycles. Following C. Soulé et. al., I will outline the construction of the Chow ring in a more general setting, on regular separated noetherian schemes, using the methods of algebraic K-theory.
