Abstract

The rationality of smooth Fano complete intersections will be studied in the context of birational geometry. We review Sarkisov program of Mori fiber spaces and discuss birational rigidity. Then we introduce the work by de Fernex on birational rigid hypersurfaces and its extension to complete intersections.
