Abstract

We will describe a construction of Adams operations on the Grothendieck group of matrix factorizations with support via an idea of Atiyah from the 60s using the cyclic group action on tensor powers and as an application prove a vanishing theorem for Hochster's theta invariant. This is joint work with Michael Brown, Peder Thompson, and Mark Walker. Although this talk is a continuation of my last talk, it is completely independent as the focus will be on Adams operations this time.
