Abstract

The F-pure threshold is an invariant in characteristic p > 0 that measures the severity of a singularity; it is analogous to the log canonical threshold in characteristic zero. In this talk, we consider a consequence of the Ascending Chain Condition conjecture for F-pure thresholds, focusing on hypersurfaces with isolated singularities.
