Abstract

Seshadri constants are invariants measuring the "local positivity" of a line bundle on a projective variety. I'll start with some motivation, give several equivalent definitions, and discuss results about bounds on Seshadri constants. The main reference is Lazarsfeld's Positivity in Algebraic Geometry I, Chapter 5.
