Abstract

All the types singular fibres of a minimal elliptic surface are identified. In Andrea Cattaneo's paper he tries to describe some types of singular fibres of a ellptic threefold. For an elliptic threefold, it is a resolution of its Weierstrass model. If the resolution is crepant, then its singular fibre can be identified as contraction of Kodaira fibre.
