Abstract
In this talk I will introduce you to computational learning theory, which is the mathematical foundation for much of applied machine learning. I will discuss two models: the "Probably Approximately Correct" model and the Statistical Query model. I will focus on concrete learning problems and algorithms, and survey some of the deep ideas that have arisen in this field. Food will be provided.
