Abstract

In this talk I will sketch the proof that $\liminf(p_{n+1}-p_n) \leq 600$ given in James Maynard's paper "Small Gaps Between Primes". The proof uses the notion of 'level of distribution' which I will define. As an example, I will state the Bombieri-Vinogradov Theorem, which says that the primes have level of distribution 1/2.
