- Abstract
- I will begin by briefly recalling the basic objects associated with the moduli spaces of curves, then present an overview of some things that are currently known about the birational geometry and the topology of these spaces. To give a feel for the study of these spaces, I will conclude with some intersection-theoretic calculations on $\overline{M}_g$.
