Abstract

We introduce the notion of almost Lipschitz embeddability and study the almost Lipschitz embeddability of proper metric spaces into Banach spaces. We will discuss the relevance of our work in topology and geometric group theory. We intend to open the seminar with a brief review (which should be accessible to non-specialists) of some interesting aspects of metric embedding theory.
