Abstract
We introduce some numerical approximation to the solution of ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations. Specifically, the Euler's method and Runge-Kutta method from finite difference, and spectral methods using discrete Fourier basis. Some constraints on applying these methods would also be discussed using linear stiffness equation as an example.
