Abstract
The Teichmüller Space of a surface S is the space of isotopy classes of hyperbolic structures on S. I'll discuss the Teichmüller space and give a dimension count using a pants decomposition and the Fenchel-Nielsen Coordinates. I'll then give a brief introduction to the Curve Complex of a surface.
