Abstract

We will discuss how semigroups introduced in the previous talks enter into the questions of stability of incompressible fluids. We will review perturbation theorems for generators, and prove that linearizations of the Euler or Navier-Stokes equations generate C_0-semigroups. We will argue that the Navier-Stokes semigroup is in fact analytic.
