Abstract
While classical Galois theory has been established and studied for centuries, Galois correspondences for purely inseparable extensions have only been explored since the 1960s, following work by Jacobson and Gerstenhaber. In this talk we'll give background material on purely inseparable extenions and their modular intermediate subfields. Then we'll see how these subfields can be found by studying the differential operators of the field extension.
